How AIOC Loan Guarantees Support Corporate/Indigenous Partnerships
Canada’s corporate and industrial sectors are increasingly taking action to advance meaningful Indigenous participation in projects, as a necessary step in economic reconciliation.
Alberta Indigenous Opportunities Corporation (AIOC) is a provincial Crown Corporation accountable to the Ministry of Indigenous Relations. We were created in 2019 in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action (specifically #92) to support Indigenous economic prosperity.
We provide Indigenous Nations and groups with the support necessary to access capital to invest in medium to large-scale infrastructure projects.
