Indigenous groups could reap ‘significant’ revenue from stake in new oil pipeline: Crown corp

In this article, AIOC CEO, Chana Martineau highlights the Canada-Alberta pipeline is still in its early stages, and while AIOC has been named as a key partner to facilitate potential Indigenous investment there is still the need for Indigenous inclusion at the discussion table.

Our mandate remains clear: we are here to help reduce barriers to capital and support Indigenous Nations and groups in pursuing ownership on their own terms. There is long-term value that major infrastructure projects can create when Indigenous Nations and groups choose to participate as owners. As Chana noted, pipelines have the potential to generate stable, predictable cash flow that can support long-term planning, services, and economic independence. And AIOC will be ready to facilitate this when the time comes.
