His session, "Understanding the Alberta Indigenous Opportunities Corporation: Facilitating Indigenous Participation in Major Projects," will give attendees a deeper understanding of AIOC’s mandate and the broader economic impact of Indigenous partnerships in Alberta’s natural resource and infrastructure sectors.

AIOC’s Mario Auger, Manager, Indigenous Engagement, will be speaking at Forward Summit West, the premier event dedicated to advancing Indigenous economic prosperity.

On May 14, Mario will join the panel "Cultural Journeys: Exploring Indigenous Tourism, Healing, and Sustainability," highlighting how Indigenous tourism initiatives preserve heritage while driving economic growth. The discussion will also explore the impact of climate change on tourism and the resilience of Indigenous communities navigating these challenges.
